16-year-old is youngest ever Air Hockey World Champion

With the composure you would never expect a 16-year-old could have in such a high pressure situation, Colin Cummings completed his quest to become the youngest Air Hockey World Champion in the history of the sport last weekend by defeating 4-time World Champion Billy Stubbs at the 2015 AHPA Air Hockey World Championships.

After navigating his way through the double elimination bracket without suffering a loss, Cummings lost the first set of the finals but was able to regroup and defeat Stubbs in the second 4 games to 2.
Viewers both on-site and watching via live stream watched anxiously as Cummings and Stubbs put on a dazzling display of offense and defense which resulted in 4 of the 6 games in the final set being decided with both players having the opportunity to win with a single goal. The scores for the deciding set were 6-7, 7-1, 6-7, 7-4, 7-6, 7-6.
The 2015 AHPA Air Hockey World Championship was held at the Chapel Hills Mall in Colorado Springs, CO and was an official event of the Rocky Mountain State Games.
